Ingredients

  • 1 package of Nature’s Own Perfectly Crafted Brioche Style Butter Rolls

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped

  • 4 oz diced mushrooms

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup brown or green lentils

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • ½ teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika

  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  • 2 cups vegetable broth or consommé

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  • Salt and pepper as needed

 
 

Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil in saucepan on medium heat.  

  2.  Sauté diced onion, red bell peppers, and mushrooms till they start to brown.  

  3.  Add garlic, toss and cook for 1 minute, then remove from heat.

  4.  Add all ingredients into a slow cooker and stir together.  

  5.  Cover and cook for 3½ hours on high heat.

  6.  Check the mixture every hour or so and add water if needed.

  7.  Serve on Nature’s Own Perfectly Crafted Brioche Style Butter Rolls.
