Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Nature’s Own Perfectly Crafted Soft Rye Bread

  • Olive Oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced

  • Salt to taste

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 7 oz. Irish cheese, such as Dubliner, grated

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup Stout beer

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees

  2. Place the Nature’s Own Perfectly Crafted Soft Rye bread on a sheet pan. Brush both sides with olive oil and sprinkle with a few pinches of salt. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through.

  3. Once cool, cut the toasts into triangle toast points.

  4. Heat a 10” skillet on medium-low heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter.

  5. Add in the sliced onions, sprinkle in a generous pinch of salt. Cook slowly, tossing occasionally until the onions are softened and eventually caramelized to a golden brown, about 25 minutes.

  6. In a medium bowl, add the softened cream cheese, half of the grated cheese, mayonnaise, and the caramelized onions.

  7. Pour in the Stout beer and stir until all ingredients are incorporated.

  8. Spread the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish, sprinkle the remaining cheese, and back for 25-28 minutes. Allow the dip to cool for 10-15 minutes.

  9. Serve the dip with the Perfectly Crafted Soft Rye toast points.
