Cheesy Roast Beef and Onion Sandwiches
Serve these sandwiches with their retro flair at your next picnic. Pair deli roast beef with a 1960s-style cheese spread and finish it off with canned French fried onions! Just remember to add the onions at the last minute for maximum crunchiness.
8 slices Nature’s Own Honey 7 Grain Bread
1 package (8 ounces) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
Hot sauce, to taste
Baby spinach or arugula
12 ounces deli-sliced roast beef
1/2 to 3/4 cup canned French fried onions or onion-flavored snack rings
Stir together cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in Cheddar cheese and hot sauce.
Arrange spinach on 4 bread slices. Top with roast beef.
Carefully spread cream cheese mixture over roast beef. Top with onions.
Close sandwiches. To serve, cut sandwiches into halves.
