Grilled Cheese Dipping Fingers

Serve these fun grilled cheese strips as an alternative to everyday toasted cheese sandwiches.

  • 8 slices Nature’s Own Butterbread or Whitewheat Bread

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1 cup purchased marinara sauce, warmed


  • Heat griddle to 350°F or stovetop griddle over medium heat.

  • Top 4 slices of the bread evenly with cheese; sprinkle with oregano. Top with remaining bread slices.

  • Brush tops evenly with oil. Place on griddle surface, oiled-side down. Brush tops with remaining oil.

  • Toast sandwiches until deep golden brown. Turn over to toast other sides, pressing down slightly with spatula.

  • Cut each sandwich into 4 thin strips.

  • Place warm marinara sauce in 4 small custard cups or ramekins for dipping sandwiches.
