Chicken Bao Sliders

Ingredients

Quick Pickle

  • 3/4 cup sliced English cucumber

  • 1/2 cup sliced radishes

  • 1/4 cup slivered red onion

  • 3 Tbsp rice vinegar

  • 2 Tbsp canola oil

  • 1 Tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

    Chicken Filling

  •  1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 3/4-inch pieces

  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 Tbsp canola oil

  • 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 2 Tbsp orange juice

  • 1 Tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 Tbsp seasoned rice vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp honey

  • 2 tsp minced fresh ginger

  • 12 Nature's Own Brioche Style Butter Buns, split

 
 

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine all Quick Pickle ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  2. In a medium bowl, toss chicken with cornstarch. Heat large skillet with canola oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 4 minutes or until browned. Stir chicken and cook 2 - 3 minutes more or until cooked through. In a small bowl, combine hoisin sauce, orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and ginger. Add to chicken and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook 3 minutes or until sauce is thickened and glazes chicken.

  3. Fill buns with chicken mixture and drained Quick Pickle.

    Serving Size: 2.0 sliders
