Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Nature's Own Butterbread

  • 1 stick of butter, melted

  • 1 tsp of garlic powder

  • 2 jars of spaghetti sauce

  • 2 bags of shredded mozzarella

  • 2 tbsp of Olive Oil

  • 2 medium onions of 1 large onion, chopped

  • 1 package of pepperoni

  • 16 oz. mushrooms, sliced

  • 2 Bell peppers, chopped

  • 1 jar of green olives, sliced and drained

  • Salt and pepper for seasoning

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large skillet heat oil on medium-high, add onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, salt, and pepper and cook until soft and most of the water has evaporated. Remove from heat and add green olives and pepperonis to the vegetable mixture and stir. Set aside to cool.

Using a rolling pin, flatten Nature's Own Butterbread squares and remove crusts. Stir garlic powder into the melted butter, toast bread then brush with garlic butter mixture Line the bottom of a large casserole dish with garlic bread. Top with a layer of mozzarella, add a layer of red sauce, followed by a layer of the toppings mixture. Repeat this 2 more times and finish with a layer of cheese. Place casserole in preheated oven and cook till cheese is bubbly and starting to brown about 35 minutes.

Suggestions - Almost anything can be added as a pizza topping. The key is to cook any meat and vegetables before adding to casseroles. This helps reduce the amount of water being released during the cooking process.
