Preheat broiler.
- Combine beef, soup mix and catsup in medium bowl; mix thoroughly.
- Spread generous 1/3 cup beef mixture over each bread slice, making sure to spread it slightly over edges of bread.
- Place on large ungreased baking sheets. Broil 5 to 7 minutes or until meat is cooked through.
- Meanwhile, using a 3” to 4” star cookie cutter, cut out one star from each cheese slice.
- Place one star or cut-out cheese slice on each cooked burger. Broil 1 minute more or until cheese melts.
- Serve with catsup and mustard, if desired.

Turkey Burger Variation: Substitute 2 pounds ground turkey for the beef and 2 eggs for the catsup. Proceed as directed above. |
